Campaign Against Stage Hypnosis (C.A.S.H)

About eight years ago Margaret Harper of Preston launched the Campaign Against Stage Hypnosis (CASH) following the death of her married daughter Sharron Tabarn who died five hours after being stage hypnotised at a show in Leyland Lancashire.

Derek met Margaret Harper on a TV show in which they were both appearing and he readily joined the CASH campaign and became the Chairman and is still, to this very day.

Derek has long been a campaigner against ALL stage hypnosis as it is potentially dangerous.

He is the only hypnotherapist in the UK who treats the victims of this degrading form of so called entertainment and he deals with all such victims free of charge.

Amongst a large number of sufferers, he treated Lynn Howarth of Bolton who tried to commit suicide twice after being traumatised on stage at a local performance of stage hypnosis.

Lynn, with the support of Derek, took her case to the High Court in London in 2001 and was successful in winning her case and was awarded damages.

The European Journal of Clinical Hypnosis commissioned Derek to author an article on the dangers of Stage Hypnosis and to highlight the victims he had treated.

Copies of this article may be obtained free on request to Derek's Secretary. Please send a stamped addressed envelope.

For full details of treatment please speak personally to his Secretary or Receptionist or Derek himself on 020 8460 7578.

Always speak to us personally. We do not use recorded messages or answering machines.
